When these are performed using proper surgical techniques, their success rate is around 95%.

Advantages

Some factors should make it an easy choice for a patient to go forward with the implant surgeries. They are:-

·         Redefining Appearance – Using implants will enhance your appearance and make it look almost near or, in some cases, exactly like the original part.

·         Providing more comfort – It will surely help you ease out because they are embedded like a part of you to remove the discomfort.

·         Highly durable – Implants are highly durable and last for many years, and if treated and cared for properly, many implants also last a lifetime.

·         Highly convenient – These are very convenient to use. For example – if you use dentures, they can be easily removed and applied back as and when required.

Who Can Get Implants?

Anyone who can undergo a routine extraction or surgery is suitable and can undergo implant treatment. But anybody who has a chronic disorder like diabetes or any heart disease or has undergone radiation therapy in the past is not allowed to acquire implants. Most implants are embedded very easily and don’t cause a lot of pain, but some are very tedious, and it takes a while for patients to get through these implants.

Types Of Implants

The most common type of implant is the dental implants which are further divided into two parts:-

1)      Endosteal dental implant –This is the most common dental implant where the patients undergo a 2 step procedure. At first, the dentist drills a hole in the jawbone and fits a screw-like implant made of titanium. Then after a few weeks, you undergo a 2nd procedure wherein an implant and a permanent crown are combined.

2)      Subperiosteal dental implant – This implant uses a metal framework instead of an implanted screw and are placed on the top of the bone just below the gum

An implant is a medical device used to replace the missing structure and fill in for that structure. Dental implants are the most common type of implant.  Click here implant tedavisi
